KTIC AM/FM  continued its broadcast mentoring/job shadowing program for High School students. “Team Up with Tom” is focused on but  not limited to the coverage and play-by-play of  area sports events, done by Sports Director Tom McMahon and a high school student. Two such mentoring/job shadow events  for two students in February, 2007.

KTIC AM/FM took part in the Columbus “Drive – Through Job Fair,” in March of 2007 represented by Station Manager Craig Larson.

KTIC AM/FM again took part in the Nebraska Rural Radio Association Scholarship Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The radio stations also took part in the Nebraska Broadcasters Association “E E O Scholarship Program.”  KTIC AM/FM Station Manager Dwight Lane was one of the judges for this effort.

During the year, KTIC AM/FM  performs employment outreach in West Point, Cuming County and the surrounding area. One of the ways we do this is providing staff members and management to give tours of the facility at 1011 North Lincoln Street in West Point.

Tours in the previous year included:

and various other Junior and Senior High students.
